Erp... thought it was the other way around!

So that dude was partially right. Mugen was started by the same people who started Honda. I wouldn't go quite as far as to say its like "STi > Subaru", "SVT > Ford", etc, but Honda and Mugen are very closely intertwined.
He's partially right in that they're Honda's prodigal sons, but they are not a racing division of Acura... that's what I was pointing out... Closely related and same company are vastly different...

And they're no longer run by the son of Honda 'cause he got slammed bigtime for tax evasion... It's all on HAN's front page...

That's not entirely true. The firm that has taken over Mugen is M-Tec. Products will still be marketed under the name brand Mugen .

Only if demand subsides and stock rises.

LOL.. not sure about DC exhausts but DC is NOT good stuff.
They make tie bars you can bend with your bare hands and SS headers that rust within months.

Generally an exhaust is an exhaust.
Mugen will give you a nice sound.. not really loud, close to stock.
Will be good for long drives etc (I can barely use my cell phone in my integra w/ skunk2 exhust - N1 copy).
Mugen exhaust is 1000 though.

spoon exhausts sound loud and annoying

thermal exhausts also give a unique sound that is not too loud

My favorite is my tanabe Gpower on my prelude.. not too loud most of the time-but very deep, and screams in Vtec.

its your decision.. i'd suggest you find out where your 'honda racers' hang out in town and try to hear as many different exhausts as possible, and choose the one you like. Don't worry about what your buddy or some jackoff on a webboard tells you.

The whole DC Sports parts breaking thing is grossly overexaggerated internet mythology. While it is true that a tie bar or two did break or bend or something, that turned into people talking about how the entire product line is shit. It's not.

However I would say that my favorite bolt-on exhaust for Integras is the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion. It's full stainless (i.e. the piping and the muffler unlike the A'PEXi WS which only has a stainless muffler but not pipes) but still not overly annoying in sound. That's what I would buy if I was you.
