Somebody Almost Stole My Car
I was going to my car at night to go to a friends place and when I tried to unlock my doors with my remote (Low Jack Security System), I didn't hear the familar beep-beep. I kept pushing it and still no beep-beep. I figured that I needed to replace the batteries. So I proceeded to manually unlock the door and I noticed that my key lock was a tiny bit loose, but I didn't think anything of it. When I opened my car I saw my glove compartment was ripped apart, my steering colum was ripped off, and the ingition taken apart. I opened my hood and I saw that the wire connecting to the alarm horn was ripped out. The theives didn't take anything from my car, prolly cause they were interested in the whole car

I have a Low Jack Security System that was installed by my dealer when I bought the car. I also have the Low Jack tracker in my car. I went out and bought a Master Lock steering wheel club and put that on. I fixed my alarm and everything. How safe is my car? What can I do to prevent it being stolen. I think that night the theives couldn't take the car because either they were inexperienced, or they realized that my gas needle was below the E Line. :madfawk:

Integra is not a safe car period.
And if you have a 01 GS-R like in your situation, it's definitely not safe.
We all decided to drive one of the most stolen cars when we bought out integras and just need to watch out for the asshole theives.

The Camary is the most stolen, and the Prelude is the 4th most....where does the Teggy fall?
Since you have an 01 you have the starter immobilizer which is why they probably could not start your car. This can be circumvented though, although since I am not a thief I do not know how.
Some things to do...
Put a hood lock on
Wire a hood pin to your alarm to set your alarm off when the hood is open
Have a backup battery for your alarm
Since you have LoJack carry your card with your VIN in your wallet
Make a kill switch
Put Integra Sedan rear door handles on your front doors
Put Integra RS (non power locks) interior door handle switches on your doors (eliminates power lock switches)
Glad your Teg did not fall victim to the thieves.

instead of that steering wheel lock i would get an autolock brake or clutch pedal lock. they can just cut through your steering wheel with the quickness. i highly doubt someone can cut through the clutch pedal, maybe with a cutting torch!
the autolock owns you
pick one up at your local auto part store, get the one w/the round key though, I think it's the professional model or something.
Get hood pin and proximity sensor as well, and a battery back up and a 135db interior siren:thumbup:
