Default help with engine light

i used a paperclip to see what code my car is throwing that was making my check engine light come on. it gave me a code 54 which is ckf sensor (crankshaft speed fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged/defective sensor. anyone know how to fix this problem, or where this sensor is located. i'd rather try to do it myself than take it to a shop if its possible. thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

Isn't that one down by the crank pulley? So the level of difficulty is kinda like changing the timing belt.

how many miles are on your car and what modifications have you done? it's on a VERY RARE occasion that this sensor goes bad. it could be possible that the plug has come loose. this was the same code i got a couple days back on my motor and the plug was disconnected.

btw, this is the sensor located on the bottom of your block right by the timing belt.
