Default Rs-ls-gs-gs-r

Alright can u guys help me out on this one. Im looking to buy a teg and i wish to know more about the standard features on each one, HP/TQ ratings, and any luxury features such as a CD-PLayer, Leather Seats, Shiny RIms, and so on.

Also if it come stock with a cd-Player, is it better to get an aftermarket one anyways?

The base models all have the same horsepower and go from least to most luxurious in this order: RS, LS, GS.

Then you have the GS-R which (I think, I only own a GS-R, not a GS) is just a GS interior and amenities but with a more powerful B18C1 (170hp/128ftlb) engine and transmission instead of a B18B (140hp/127ftlb) engine. It also only comes in 5-speed. This car is standard with leather interior in 99+ models and was optioned with it prior to that.

The Type-R is less luxurious than the GS-R but has a more powerful B18C5 (195hp/130ftlb), has a closer ratio gearbox with LSD, and has quite a few changes to the suspension. It's very much a street legal race-car. Also the Type-R only comes in a coupe and does not have a sun roof like the other styles.

In my '98 GS-R the stereo system had a cd player but was pretty crappy. I removed all of it. I don't have leather and don't really want to since I live in socal and it would be sweaty and sticky. GS-R also has power everything and keyless entry.

Hope this helps

EDIT: Get a GS-R. Performance + comfort = fun to drive, even daily

BTW GS-Rs are the king choice for most people, but they've got a high risk of theft

to answer your cd player question, get rid of the stock one unless you like your music played low. It has no power and you won't hear it with the windows down and moonroof open.

No thats only the 1993 GSR, only year to carry the legendary b17. The LS, RS, GS carry the b18b dohc, while the gs-r has the b18c1 dohc vtec.

I wouldn't consider the B17 a "legendary" engine...:dunno:
