LS block is just easier to turbo with less worries (vtec can be troublesome in tuning correctly). Plus you never have to worry about vtec starving the turbo of oil. But ya, you will see better numbers with the GSR. Only reason I have an LS is because it'll be a more simple tune when the turbo is on.

There is such a thing as turbo lag, and couple that with lack or torque and you have a VERY slow car below 3000rpm. Personal experience with a turbo GS-R confirms this, but, to each his own, I say.

with a properly sized turbo, lag shouldnt be much of an issue

:werd: Go for the GS-R

s/c GS-R... go with high RPM's and vtec.

I'll continue to advocate superchargers for low-boosting engines, simply because you wont have to deal with turbo lag. I find that, among equally boosted turbo/supercharged cars, I have more fun in a supercharged car since boost is available immediatley. Feels like there's a bigger engine under the hood, rather than a boosted little one.

However, if you're going "fast as possible"... use a turbo... you'll find more adaptability in the long run.

Just remember to be careful, and spend an hour of tuning for every hour installing.

Yes, but boost can readily be increased with a push of a button.

IBturbovssuperchargerdebate :fawk: Let's not make this another one of "those" threads.

lmao who am I kidding?

haha lag...you damn noobs should keep your mouths shut.

Go with the gsr, you can run 8-10 psi and make very good power. Tuning is important and if you blow your motor in the future you can build it up better.
