Default Swapping wheels with only one jack

96 Integra LS,

My front left (driver's side) wheel is bent, and I want to swap it to the back (until i get a new set) to cut down on steering wheel shudder. I only have the stock wheel changing jack - no jack stands, etc.

What is the best way to go about doing this? I need a way to keep the front end off the ground while take the rear left wheel off. Also, is there anything I should watch out for? Tires are pretty new so i don't think uneven wear should be an issue. thanks,

get something solid..like a log/cinder block/mutiple bricks/a dog..j/k!!

But the best would be a jack stand :-) And safest!

True...but that is one of the best investments I ever made. Ramps are good too...but not for a lowered car.

I know on my car('91 integra) I can just jack it up at the front point and it'll lift the entire side, try that and see if it works.

LOL..yeh that happens sometimes....the reason for this is that the engine is in the front so it kinda balances out. But dont rely on this if your under the car..NOT safe!!!

I can do this with my 93 Civic..but not my accord! Heh..too long!

I've done it only b/c I had my stock steelies lying around. but it is a huge pain in the ass. I'm still going to do it myself, b/c i don't trust anyone with my rims

stubbs, i'll try that... i won't be under the car at all, and i'm not wanting to pick up some jack stands just yet. but... if it comes to the old cinder block method, what's the best place to support the car to minimize the chances of damage? thanks,

U need to use the "extruding lift slots" as i like to call them. They are little black pieces of metal that are attached to the frame that extrude from all 4 corners of underbody. They are behind the front two wheels and in front of the rear wheels. They are blatantly noticible.
