How was your traction? traction is a huge factor when trying to pull some high ets.
mine ran a 13.6 with about 60 foot of tire smoke and tire hop.
damn i need some slicks and a diff.

I had fine traction, i didn't really launch above 3.5k. I thought i would lose more gas than i did. I filled up w/ 93 octane the day b4 w/ Meijer Gas, and changed my oil w/ full synthetic 5w 30. And its a 5 speed, and the clutch Seems to be fine. I just don't know what to do...all the other ls tegs w/ less done ran in the high 15s. Also, my 17's are forged, so they only weigh 15lbs each. Maybe some steelies would help?

A 15lb 17" wheel is going to slow you down more than a 15lb 15" wheel would. The mass is further away from the center of rotation.

Your 60' time has alot more room for improvement. Try and get that down to 2.2 . When was the last time you had a tune up?

I mean, i know that an exhaust adds like next to nothing, but i would think i would pull like 120ish from what i've heard. Thnx
Well, for a general fwhp conversion - 140+10hp from boltons with a 20% drivetrain loss would be abour 120fwhp. However I thought that the drivetrain loss was more around 16-18%.

i haven't had a tune-up since i've had the car, from 25k to 48k. I replaced the plugs, rotor and cap recently. Haven't changed the wires, change oil regularly, but thats about it. what do u guys suggest?

My '97 LS 5-speed with I/H/E put down 126 whp and 113 wtq, and that was on a 100 degree day.

I ran a 17.1 at the track a few weeks ago, but that's at 5820 ft, extremely hot day, and with horrible launches (2.6 sec 60 foot times)... Based on other cars I have beaten, I should be able to run a 16.5 up here, which is about 15.5 or 15.6 at near sea level.
