Default AEM bypass valve, should i get?

I have an AEM CAI and i just wanted to know if you need or should get a bypass valve for my cai?

It all depends if your area rains a lot, if not, save the money.

get it, I have seen too many people n here crying about their hydrolocked engines. Its worth the peace of mind

Submerge the filter, and the bypass valve (mounted higher in the engine bay) opens up.

Saved my motor two weeks ago. You do the math, $40 (whatever) for the BPV, or huge cash for a new motor.

If you plan on driving through some pretty deep puddles...say 6-12 inches to complete submerge the filter...then get it.

I have driven in some of the worst rain possible and have had no problems and my car is lowered on H&R Sports.

The bypass will only work if the filter is completely submerged.

Common sense by not driving in three foot puddles will save you the money for that useless thing.
