Rough shifting
Hi,
over the past year, its been getting harder and harder to shift. its "rough" to get into gears and out, theres lots of clicks when moving the shift around, Its just been weird. I test drove an IS300 the other day and I realized how smooth shifting gears was! Either way, what am I needing here to fix my transmission? I was thinking of getting a SS w/ bushings but I dont know if that'll make anything better. Please help.

If you haven't changed it in a while, how do you know that it's at a good level. The only level it should be at is barely dripping out of the MTF inlet in the side of the transmission.
I'd go ahead and change fluid using Honda MTF and see how it responds.

I actually just posted about this a week or so ago. I was having a similar if not same problem as you are. My clutch master cylinder was leaking fluid and so I replaced that and my clutch and flywheel. I am now shifting as smooth as brand new. If I were you I would check your master cylinder and see if you are leaking any fluids. If so that could be the reason why your not being able to shift very well. Because the master cylinder isn't being able to disengage your clutch all the way enough to make a smooth shift. Well it worked for me. I also found a strange piece of metal in my clutch as well and, that could have also been the problem. But I would definetly check your MC.
Thanks for the response. Actually my MC was leaking and I changed it a few months ago, so it should be fine. I'm going to go ahead and flush out my transmission fluid somewhere and give them a few bottles of Honda MTF. How much do you think it should cost?
You can easily do it yourself. Just undo the drain bolt on the bottom of the transmission, let the fluid drain out, screw the bolt back in, reach a little further up and undo the fill bolt, drop a small funnel with plastic tube attached down from above, and pour 3 1/2 quarts of MTF in, or until it starts to overflow. I would also recommend someone down underneath, holding the tube in, and to tell you when it starts to overflow. Shouldn't be more than 10 bucks to do it yourself!
