I just had the Transmission rebuild from hell!!. The bearigns in the manual tranny were shot, I got the bearings from Acura, took the tranny apart 2 weeks ago, worked on it everyday atleast 5-6 hours, It was the worst possible project, I think anything and everything that could have gone wrong did. even the transmission shop gave up on it.

Well I finally buttoned it back together, up in the car (5th time), and i got all forward gears to work, but now the tranny shutters in reverse, and there is a nasty clunky crunchy noise when i shift.

Does anyone know where in the world i can pick up a used tranny for this beast?. Is the 2wd CRV tranny same gearing as the one i have?. there isnt any auto wrecker within a 4 hour driving range that has it. does anyone have one laying around, wants to sell it?. anyhelp would be greatly appritiated.

$1800 for a GSR rebuilt one is a bit steep (ebay), so i dont really care for it. would b16a tranny would work?, would it be a direct replacement? I dont want to have to change drive shafts and stuff again

What kind of tranmission do you have? Hydro or cable? Try posting a wtb ad in the fs section of han.
