hello again,
now that i have my new Gsr, i am selling my 91'
it has just hit 273500 miles, and still runs good. just a few weeks ago it developed a noise above 30 mph(turns into a dull roar at highway speed, then dies off about 80mph) in the right rear tire area. It makes me think that the tire is horribly out of alignment, but the car doesn not wobble or shimmy, it drives perfectly straight.
i am worried that it is a wheel bearing, but the hub gets no hotter than the others.
it seems to be some kind of harmonic noise(from the way it increases then decreases as speed increases) and from the fact that it is rhythmic and predictable.
the tire on this hub is fairly new, but just a cheapo bought at a no name tire store in an emergency. has anyone heard of this noise, or had a problem like this with a cheapo tire?
