im trying to find where i can get a 5 speed tranny at for my car but i cant seem to find one online. i could use a little help

 

I know what you mean, I was looking for a new used 5 speed hydro tranny for my car also. None of the wreckers seem to have any, and the ones that do want $500 for it!. at the same time they want 500 for the automatic's also

One of the spindle bearings is gone in my transmission. the car makes nasty rattly noises.

Instead my plan is to pull out my tranny, take it apart, pull the bearings and hit a bearing shop.

there are only 7 bearings in the entire transmission, plus 2 differential bearings. trust me a 5 speed tranny is as easy as pie. there literally is nothing inside other than a few gears shafts and bearings.

 

if they r so easy then why does mine grind 2nd when shifting fast, 3rd almost all the time, and now 4th when shifting fast, when it only had 45k on it and the place i got it from said they went through it with a fine tooth comb and said it was in perfect condition? what a waste of 700 bucks
