Default Did I do ok? Went to look at a GSR, and put some money down

Went to look at a GSR from a private party today. 1995 Integra GSR. 95,000 miles

Full power, moonroof. Leather seats front and back are in immaculate condition. Clean title, no frame damage. Most maintanence done...timing belt, spark plugs, fuel/air filter..new tires, brakes, rotors, Centerforce clutch/throwout bearing. Tintted windows. Partial transmission rebuild (new bearings, some gears?)

Only problems are...Paint on spoiler is faded. Also, front bumper and hood are starting to fade as well. a little bit of hail damage to the hood. 5th gear grinds only if you try to shove it into gear really quick. Otherwise if you slip it in smoothly, its like butter.

He wont go any lower than $7500. Is this a decent price/deal? Mechanically everything is near perfect with most parts taken care of/replaced. Interior is a 9/10. Just that faded paint that takes points off. What do you guys think? Hit it? I loved the way it felt. Solid, great car.

Help!

Faded paint...I'm guessing its oxidation. That can easily be buffed out with a light rubbing compound followed by 3M Swirl Remover (I'm in the process of restoring 20 year old paint on a 1975 Triumph TR6).

Front bumper and hood fading - warning sign of front end collision with a cheap fix & paint job. Take it to a knowledgeable mechanic and have it checked over for $49 or whatever.

The 1st car I ever bought had a little paint fade on the side of it, then I went to trade it in and the dealer showed me the car fax on it and it had been wrecked. So long story short I got screwed out of the deal. So be careful.

if it checks out ok, get it. I would never buy a used car without having it thoroughly checked out.
