Default Get 16' or 17's aftermarket rims?

Looking to get an aftermarket rims...should I go with a 16's or 17's. I heard that the bigger the rims, the heavier they are and more GAS I do a lot of commuting to work daily....so what's your recommendation/?

I personally would go with 16's. 17's have more unsprung weight so they will be less sporty as well as weighing down your car more.

I got 16's cause I didn't want to have to get a really low profile tire. I use it as a daily commuter too, but I did notice a little more work for the engine from a complete stop. It looks good though and it gives me a reason to start my engine work! I think anything lower than a 45 series tire is too low to handle any unforeseen bumps in the road . I don't want to bend my new rims.

With 17s, it depends on what wheel you get. If you get a lite weight wheel [ Centerline RPM's weigh 13.5lbs in 17"] you won't feel it like a 22lb 17" wheel. But the lighter the wheel, the more it will cost to. But the RPM's aren't bad. $300 per wheel, where the Volk's start around $400 per wheel.

What year/model Integra?

FYI, I'm running fairly "lightweight" 17" wheels, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to pay as much as I did. I'm also a bit slower versus the stock 15" blades.

I'd run 16s, cuz I do currently.

5Zigen Fighters, Titanium finsh (a gunmetal warm grey). 205/40 ZR16 Nitto 450s.
I'm not as impressed with the Nitto tires. I'll switch back to Yoko AVS tires when these crump out.

Regardless of size, make sure the overall diameter of the new wheels and tires is as close as possible to stock, especially since you have a stock motor. If the wheels are much different from stock in this dimension, the speedo will be inaccurate, and performance can be hampered severely (with oversized wheels)

Another factor is weight. Heavy wheels will require more hp to overcome their mass when accelerating; when braking, heavy wheels will lengthen stopping distances, given their added rotational inertia.

I'd go with 17's. I got a set 17" of Konig heliums. 16.2 pounds Light, but not the lightest.

I went with 17's but I had to get something to fit over my brakes. = ). My car actually felt quicker than stock with the Volks. Just GET some FI and you won't worry about the extra lbs. = )

Wow, those bronze Volks go very well with that color. What is it, plum?
