Default Side Moldings

Every time I see a R, I cant stop looking at the moldingless sides.

I got a RS, was thinking of painting the moldings body colour, but am wondering now if i should get rid of them all together.

Is it hard to do?, Or do i need to get new doors and fendors to get that smooth "R" look.

anyone else got some input?

shaving moldings usually involves welding in pieces of metal to fill in the gap left by taking the molding off, then paint.

I painted mine about a month ago, shaved the moulding and the acura emblem off the trunk, cleaned up thelook of the car a lot! It was a little bit of work, had to weld in metal scraps and fill over them, but well worth it. I have been meaning to get it cleaned up real nice and get some pics of it, when I do I'll post some.

Hey man, when you shaved your mouldings all you had to do was fill in the holes right? They sit flush with the body the whole way along right? just wanted to confirm

Yeah after the holes are filled in and smoothed over its smooth like an ITR. But the holes that are behind the moulding are rather large, about 3/4" square.
