yes. it was available two years after it was released in japan. japan got it in 1995, then US had it as well from 1997 to 2001, albeit in limited numbers.

Actually, they did. But, in 99 Acura wanted to work on an image of luxury and felt that the ITR was holding them back with the reputation of being a track/race car. So they X'd it out that year and gave the GSR leather standard. However, after all the death threats Honda received about not sending over the ITR to the US, Honda/Acura made up for it in 00 and 01 by sending 5000 ITRs over both years.
