the shape of the entire bumper is different, the most noticable is around the headlights, and there is also more of an angle at the bottom of the bumper, kinda like a built in lip. looks much better IMO

Would there have to be any mods to the car to make the 98 fit? Has anybody on here done it?

i wouldn't recommend z3 fenders, cuz they are aftermarket and usually are made of thin sheet metal, which dents even easier (is that possible?!!) than OEM. go with stock.
