Default Spark plug questions

OK I did a search and got too many threads and no info...here are my questions. I just got a red Honda valve cover and want to switch the wires and plugs...

What would you reccomend for the plugs and wires?

What are the torque specs on the plugs when tightening them?

What are the torque specs on the valve cover when tightening it down?

Anyone know the part number for the valve cover seal? Will the Civic Si b16 work on my b18? Honda is on my way home, Acura is out of the way.

Anything else I should think about?

Thanks

NGK Wires
NGK Copper plugs

I just tighten the plugs until they won't really go much more with some force. As far as the valve cover bolts go, they don't require much torque at all, because of the black grommets....the studs are easy to snap.

ngk plugs for sure, i'm running msd wires that seem pretty good, you wont really see any difference other than appearance, dont get to frisky with the plugs on the torque, just a little past hand tight and you should apply some antseize to the threads. the valve cover bolts dont take any torque either, thanks it calls for something like 6-7 ft lbs if that. just a little past snug will be fine. sorry but no idea on the part #

Will a Civic Si valve cover gasket work on my GSR?

I am almost 100% certain it will but I am leaving in a few minutes to go pick it up and would like to know for sure.

Thanks,

Use hondabond on the corners of the valve cover gasket, and the corners where it goes around the camseals.

13 Ft lbs on the spark plugs, dont forget to use anti-seize on the threads.

Default Try the Denso Iridium

DVPGSR,

If you study up on the misfire rates of different plugs, you'll find that the Denso Iridium plugs outperform NGK's. I've been installing Nippon Denso plugs in Honda's since 1980 and I've never been disappointed. If you look at the heat exchange capacity and the thermal range of the Denso plugs you can't go wrong.
Spec R is right, torque to 13 -14 ft. lbs. If you don't own a torque wrench, put the plugs in hand tight and then about 1/3 turn with a plug socket.
