Default Pedal

Very sad question - but I can't install a simple gas pedal on a 1996 2 dr Integra.

After getting the old rubber pedal off, I can't find a way to get the new one to stick/stay! The little metalic plate with the 4 screws on the back of the new pedal won't help the pedal stay on...

Anyone know what I mean? This is a reallllly sad question - but besides glueing the freakin thing on, I have no idea how to get it to stay..

Are you sure the aftermarket pedal wasn't supposed to just mount onto the stock pedal? Or are you just replacing the stock one?

I'm replacing the stock one.

Someone installed the brake pedal for me, but never got around to doing the gas pedal. I can't figure it out.

It's a RACTIVE pedal... if that helps any. I've looked for instructions on the net, but I can't find any..

As sad as this is, that's how it's been for the past 6-8 months. It came unglued so I figured i'd ask to see if anyone knew the REAL way to put the pedal on ...

Anyone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found some info on RACTIVE pedals off a search engine, but nothing really helped - especially not for the gas pedal.
