springs
hey, i'm looking to do the suspension on my integra (GS-R over in the US).
I've been told by a fairly reputable source that I don't absolutely need springs changed if i get Koni externally adjustables and a rear sway bar, as apparently the honda's springs are pretty ok to match them already, and if i were to go the springs as well the car coiuld get skittish on rough roads around corners.....
the springs will drop the car about 1.5 inches, any scraping problems with this drop?

my goal is better handling, but a lowered ride height would be good too.
Main thing is the handling though. it just seemed strange that the honda springs could handle much harder shocks without problems, i would think that Honda would have got the springs spot on for the car's OEM shocks when they designed the thing.

you may want to ask the autox forum these questions also.
heres my take on it:
you want to better handle your car, learn your car. take some classes on how to drive. got that from rick.
your tires is the only part of the suspen that makes contact with the ground, best to upgrade those.
"upgrade" to springs with a stiffer spring rate, and with that, also shocks that can keep up with the rebounds.

yeah, i am taking those classes, as for tyres, i know they need upgrading too, got Bridgestone Potenza on it atm coz thats what it had on when i got it, but i know they need upgrading, but they're not overly expensive.
thats what i thought about the springs, but this guy thinks that the OEM springs will match the shocks.

I'd say go with aftermarkey springs unless you can't afford them right now and you must put your shocks on right away. It's easier to do it all at once though in case down the road you realize that you should have gotten springs also.
