Default Your B18C1 power from a JSRC?

What type of power would one expect from a JSRC on a B18C1 Gs-R motor? And how reliable is that compared to turbo?

6 psi ....215 whp 8psi... about 225whp, I'll let someone else handle the reliability. BTW these horsepower figures arn't exact and only assumimg u have just intake.

You most likely wont make that much. I had a friend who make almost 210 whp on an 8lb pulley. He also had i/h/e.

I've heard many things, I heard Gwen Stephani was a dude, I think those numbers are reasonable real world numbers. You gotta consider altitude, temp. and many other factors of the day he dynoed the car.

The Jackson Racing website has their dynos posted. If anyone can get the most out of their SCs it would be them. The numbers are alright but not *WOAH*. Turbos seem to be putting out better numbers; if you want larger HP numbers.

I've been N/A for a while and am looking into a SC myself. I'm liking the Vortech but am still researching. The forums aren't too much of a help either, everyone talks bad about them but nobody seems to have any experience owning or trying one.

Oh well good luck.

The JRSC is a nice piece though it's built well and JR knows their stuff. I have a friend with an si that has a JRSC. It kicks some a$$.

Nah, the JRSC is great no one talks bad about it. I was talking about the Vortech for no reason.

My friend's 94 GSR did 218whp @ 6psi and 232whp at 9psi.

Included mods were pulleys, I/H/E, and the BTC from JRSC.

The reason that sc's don't put down the power like a turbo is because it's belt driven. So it takes power to make power with this type of setup but they are easier to mantian and tune. I don't know this from experience but from reading and research. I would have to say that you would have more reliability with the sc but if your looking for awsome power numbers I would go with the turbo setup. A turbo is going to take a lot more care so if you do go this route make sure you know what your doing or know a good mechanic that can help you out. I like turbos because it takes what the engine doesn't want anyways and makes power from it.
