How do the OEM tail peices mount?

you need to get a wrench and take the nuts of then the light slides out.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I'm refering to the tail pieces included in the OEM kit,
you know lip,sides,tails.

You get to drill holes.

I think 3 or 6, on each side.

Ok... i did the install on my roomates GS-r and it take 3 holes per piece so thats 6 total for both the rear pieces. Two on each side and two on the back. If you bought the kit new, then it should have come with a paper stencil that has the drill points so you lay it across your rear bumper and mark the holes and drill. But the stencil is only for the side holes. For the rear, the original boxed kit came with a double side sticker. You put this sticker on the inside of the lip piece where the bolt point is, and you push the lip up onto the bumper as if you were placing it. Then the sticker should have transferred over to the bumper. Then voila! you have your rear drilling point. I don't think i can be any more detailed for you.
