i would highly recommend doing some more research on recharging the AC systems . .depending on what year your car is they ended up switching the freon .. r12 to r34 or somethign like that (2 different chemical make ups) .. and they CANNOT be mixed . . i dont know what year they switched .. maybe 94? but anyway - you cannot buy the old stuff anymore because it eats holes in the ozone - only option would be to switch out the entire system to the new system . .

(i havent had time to research this myself and i gotta run to work but before you try anything try to verify this all first)

later

if your car has been sitting in the sun for a while.. it should get pretty hot.. and it will take some time to cool.. I don't know about it taking a minute and a half.. but it won't be ice cold once you turn it on..

i read in my repair manuat that my 94 is the newer stuff (134a system)

to bad no one here in Canada will sell me a frigin recharg kit, and everytime I ask they wanna lecture me about not having a license to do that work. Maybe cause you charge an arm and a leg to do 30min work!!!!!
