Default Price for adjusting valves

I've already searched. I just wanted to know if anyone got their valves adjusted at the dealer and how much. Also did it make any difference? Trying to decide if I want to spend money on this or mods. Car is a 2000 gsr 34,000 miles. Thanks for any positive responses.

i believe its a regular maintainance item so you should get it done as sugested by the owners manual.

Wow... that's a creepy-ass icon WiLL

I got it done for $110 with a replacement of all the related gaskets as well. Don't go to the dealer, just take it to a reputable honda specialist.

Default LT, how long did it take?

Assuming you start with a Helms manual, and you never adjusted the valves before, and you have all the necessary tools, how long would it take to do this?

I read the tech-note found on the DIY forum, and I'm not sure this is something I want to do: oil change, tranny oil change, 9005 conversion, no problem. Timing belt/water pump, no way.

So would adjusting valves fall in the "no problem" or the "no way" column?

Don't forget to let your engine sit overnight, and if you really want to get anal, don't do it till like 12-2 in the afternoon. You optimally want the engine block's temp to be between 60-80 degrees F, I believe...

It would take an afternoon. a couple hours to let the engine cool down b4 you take the cover off. 1hr doing the adjustment. 15-20 minutes putting everything back. And definitely let engine sits overnight - to cure the hondabond liquid gasket. It's pretty easy.
