Your asking this in the ITR forum so the answers would be bias. I would definetly say the type R even if I owned a VW.

yeah the type r is basically a factory race car. and they look a lot better. and imo vw's are girl cars

Limited slip
Better resale value
Cooler

ITR Cons -
More expensive
Noisier
Rougher ride
Cop magnet especially in PY
Much more likely to be stolen or vandalized!!!!!

If I lived in YYZ there is no way I would own a daily driver ITR. The likelihood of its being stolen is way too high. There is no way I would own one anywhere if I did not have it under lock and key and hidden from view at night.
