Default replacing trunk components.

i took apart my trunk to get ready to take my car into the shop.
upon taking out my amp and subwoofer, i notice that the rug in my trunk and the piece of cardboard that covers the spare can use replacing.

have any of you done this? im not talking about going to acura to get them. im talking about going into a carpet store and home depot to make my own.

thanks

this is for a DB btw.

I just used some 1/2" plywood and some carpet at got at a store. Used some carboard to make a template of my trunk and then transfered it to the plywood, and cut it out with a jigsaw. Then using spray adhesive and a staple gun put the carpet on. Looks good and works fine.

I'm with WiLL on this one, mine needs replacement too. That carpet-covering-plywood is a nifty idea. I'm worried about vibrations and weight though...JL w6 with 460 watts RMS of power going to it owns.

Yeah I used heavy duty plywood. As for carpeting I used heavy material that felt like the stock carpeting on the floor.

As for vibrations, I don't have any noticable vibrating, but I only have 1 12" in the back. If it does vibrate you could use L brackest and mount the wood to the body or something along those lines.
