Default Best Exhaust

Im guessing this can be a widely disputed debate but i was wondering what the best exhasut to get for a 95integLs would be. My guess would be greddy but I was thinking that maybe just getting a Skunk2 muffler and 2.5in straight piping might work just as good or better for cheaper. Any thoughts.

IMO you'd get a better product with a prefab'd catback.

Also, I love my GReddy

Most cat-back systems out there use 2.25" piping, which is fine for bolt-ons, but if you're planning an all-motor build, 2.5" piping is the way to go. A few companies offer 2.5" catback systems but they cost upwards of $1000.

The best exhaust would depend on what you plan on doing. IMO, the best exhaust would be a complete replacement with a 2.5" header collector, high flow cat, 2.5" B pipe, and either a Spoon 2.5" muffler or a Mugen 2.5" muffler, since the Spoon is a regular canister design which limits the most noise yet still has good flow, and the Mugen is a twin pass muffler, which also lessens the noise. There might be a DC Sports TCS for the Integra now. That would be a way cheaper alternative for low noise.

Different exhausts will be better for different cars with different set-ups. Overall though, I believe straight-through designed exhausts such as the Apex N1 and HKS Hiper yield a horsepower or two over most Greddy or Tanabe exhausts. They're also much louder.

I've always liked RS*R. As long as it doesn't make popping sounds or annoying buzzing sounds, any of the reputable brands mentioned here should work great. I'd look for whatever one has the dyno charts to prove they make the most power. After that, it just becomes a matter of how much you want to spend.

Mugen only makes a twin-loop exhaust for the GSRs...if you are going for a complete H/C/E you can get a Hytech ITR exhaust for $1300. It is 2.5" and gives pretty good gains.

From what Ive herd the apexi world sport also seems to be a good choice and keeps the noise down.

From what I hear, the GReddy SP is a fairly nice sounding and looking setup. And just a word of advise, if you are not doing a moderately built motor, 2.5 is probably going to be too big. 2.25-2.36 is what most aftermarket diameters are for LS's.

Good luck.
