Default skunk2 intake manifolds

I have a b18c1 gsr motor. Can I use a type r skunk2 intake manifold? I have an ls cai from my old motor and I figured For a little more money I can just buy a performance type r intake manifold rather than a new cai. Would this even be worth it? A ls cai fits the itr intake manifold? correct??

if you have agsr engine get a skunk2 manifold.. or get a type-r stock manifold same princple but the type-r will save you a lil cash... actuallly the skunk2 manifold was designed after the type-r.... about the intake?... just try it! it will prolly fit. good luck

I dont think ITR manifolds will fit on b18c1's.

No, they definately don't. The Skunk2 will get rid of that funky butterfly valve system, which is in my eyes a good reason to get one. The LS intake *should* bolt up fine.

You can, but it's not really worth the bother considering real Type R manifolds still sell for pretty high.

To make an ITR P73 intake manifold fit you need to drill holes in it to fit the GSRs P72 head. The Skunk2 intake manifold will fit right up to the GSR head and is very close to the ITR one. You will need an ITR throttle cable latch (not sure if that is what it is called) and an ITR intake since the Skunk2 raises the position of the throttle body.

Is the cai from a ls the same as an itr? I thought just the gsr was different.

I want to say that the LS CAI and the ITR CAI are different but I cannot be 100% certain on that. The GSR throttle body is positioned lower than the B18B and the B18C5.

I believe the only difference in the ITR and LS intakes is the diameter of the pipe used, the ITR is something like 1/4 wider.
