Default Flip-up LCD Screen in Teg

If so what kind do you have? How do you like it? Any problems having it in your dash?

Can you post some pics?

I am contemplating whether to get one or a fixed screen. Thanks.

i had a panasonic flip up dvd. it was cool got annoying because i was worried that it would get stolen. most of the time they stick out too much because if they dont when they come up the hit the fan controls. best place i have seen mounted was a custom job into the uppper air vents above the heater controls.

I'd rather get the flip screen. I don't know, but to me, if someone saw a monitor in the car (a fixed screen where it's easily visible from the outside) it's more likely to attract theft because they might think that you have a lot more in the car (like a PS2 or something). If it was a flip monitor, they might just think it's a regular radio or something...

i told you about this didnt i?
when i had my flip screen dvd i had to mount it where the ashtray and cig lighter were

in the first din it would not fold all the way straight
in the second din it blocked my climate controls and i could not tilt it as much as i would have liked

in the custom/hacked area we put mines in, it could not be seen by cars next to me
it was also high enough over my rsx shift knob that people in the back could see with no problems

i liked my in dash also cuz i could use it for radio/cds/dvd without folding it out and just hearing the audio

If I got the fixed screen I would hide it when it wasn't in use so that wouldn't be a problem

were you able to have it on while driving? I have heard that some systems will only work when the parking break is on.

Most if not all mobile video implement this system for safety reasons. But installers have found a way to bypass it, so you don't really have to worry about it.

I have a few friends that are car audio/video nuts and they all have auto starts in their cars. It trips me out everytime we meet and roll out and they start their cars from the outside while everyone else just unlocks their doors with their alarms... h:
