I don't know, but to me, if someone saw a monitor in the car (a fixed screen where it's easily visible from the outside) it's more likely to attract theft because they might think that you have a lot more in the car (like a PS2 or something). If it was a flip monitor, they might just think it's a regular radio or something...
If I got the fixed screen I would hide it when it wasn't in use so that wouldn't be a problem
