Wheel Speed Sensor...Anyone?
Hey guys...I got a problem I was hoping someone might be able to help me with...
After I installed my new springs/shocks on my 98 GS-R I noticed my ABS light was on. I had the diagnostic test done to find out my left rear wheel speed sensor was damaged. The dealership wants $350 to fix it ($130 part/$220 for 2.5 hrs labor). I bought the part from them (since I need it anyway) and I had them print me out the diagram to show where the part goes. Unfortunately, the diagram is really bad so I can't really tell where it is located. It looks like it might be under the gas tank somewhere.
Does anyone know where the part is installed? Is it really a 2.5 hour job? Its a dinky little plug/wire so I can't imagine it is really that big of a job unless they have to take half the car apart to get to it.
Please help...its really frustrating knowing my ABS system is not working.

its right behind the rear brake rotor. cant miss it as it is pointed directly at a toothed wheel and has 2 wires coming off of it.
but when you replace it, make sure you get the spacing between the sensor and reluctor wheel perfect.

I know that on the G2 teg you can pull codes from the ABS computer, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do the same thing on the G3. I don't know what the process is for a G3 though because I only have a G3 Helms manual.
I got an ABS light and it was the left rear wheel speed sensor, which I found out myself by pulling the code. I bought the part from an Acura dealer and brought it to Midas for them to pop it on just because I was at school and didn't have the tools to do it.
