Default Stock Shocks

How long / many miles should stock shocks last on a stock suspension setup?

How long would they last if the car is lowered?

stock suspension components should last u the entire lifetime of the car or about 100,000 miles if driven under normal conditions. If lowered depending on how low it is and the spring rate usually 6 months. The lower u go the quicker the shocks go...

I had my stock shocks on at 120k and they are still good and will be for a while since they are now sitting in the garage. As for the lowering thing it's more on what the spring rate is of the spring your putting on those stock shocks.

There isnt any way to guage it...just know they wont last forever. It really is advantageous to purchase them together.

Depending on your specific springs and the condition of the shocks already, it could be a week or it could be a year.

Man, I really need to save up for shocks. Right now I'm on H&R Sports/stock shocks. Rides like stock, just lower.

If you use springs designed for the stock shocks (aka. Comptech springs), the stock shocks should last just as long.

Mine were completely blown when I took them out somewhere around 105k. I don't think it was lowered before (previous owner didn't seem like the type), but it could have been.
