Any benefits....dealer diagnostics?
Hey all,
I've been having fuel issues for quite some time but haven't quite pinpointed where the problem(s) lie. Used to be that the CEL would come once in a great while and I'd simply reset the ECU. However, as of late, the CEL would come on more frequently even just after a reset.
Furthermore, upon (semi-warm) startup, I'm starting to get an idle that won't hold, falls, then the car dies. I say semi-warm because this usually happens after a quick drive (5 or so mimutes). I'll shut off engine, go into a store, and when I restart...
So anyway, I'm thinking of taking the car to a reputable tuner shop to finally iron out some theoretical (aren't they all?!) issues. But are there any benefits to taking the car to Honda/Acura for diagnostics before taking it someplace else?
BTW, this shop has an in-house dyno that, to me at least, would indicate that they should have proper scan/diagnostic equipment. True?
Thanks,
Adub
