Default Intake Manifold

I have comptech header/exhaust with AEM CAI.

What is a good intake manifold out there that I should consider? People are saying Skunk2.

I plan on just going N/A. Are the power gains significant to warrant an intake manifold? Any advise would appreciated.

my friend got the skunk2 for his 96 gsr and it pulls a lot harder and amost took off a whole second in his 1/ 4 mile. if you plan going all motor your probably going to buy cams so you'll need more air flow and that intake manifold will deffinatley give it to you. goodluck

the skunk2 intake manifold dosent really shine unless you have bigger cams to eat up all the extra air comming in. i would wait and save up for cams/springs/retainers, and THEN get an intake manifold. you will notice a lot more gains from it then.

also, a great place to pick up skunk2 is at www.afterhourzracing.com .. they are great guys and sponsor just about every message board site out there. they just picked up skunk2 a few days ago, and judging by their prices on everything else, they will prob have the best price for what your looking for. they also carry crower cams if you wanted to look into that. have fun, peace.

Yea I am the guy with the Skunk2 IM on my gsr that spooncivic is talking about and yes it does make a nice significant gain and it is worth buying. I am about to buy the Skunk2 stage 1 cams too here pretty soon so I can't wait to see how good things go then.

The Skunk2 IM is almost a direct copy of the ITR manifold. Whichever you can get for cheaper, go with.

This is true except the integra type R intake manifold will not bolt up to a gsr head. The bolt patterns are different. But thats if this person has a gsr.

There are differences between the Skunk2 IM and the ITR... One I can remember is that the Skunk2's diameter is 1mm less than that of the ITR IM when it meets the head...

The entire Skunk2 IM has a volume of 2.2L (at least for the B18B1), I measured it with rice (how ironic, huh)?

And this is what Skunk2 says it will do...
