Default Shocks necessary??

are shocks necessary? i mean i know my ride is a lil bouncy but i can stand it, but shocks dont blow on integras and civics do they? my friend had a 98 maxima and his shocks blew within a week but then again his car is really heavy. what type of shocks do u recommend and whats the price range for them. i want to get these along with cambers so i have a complete suspension upgrade that i can be koo with.

errrrrrrrr your from sacramento also so im not gonna hate on you
but yes you need shocks, even bikes have shocks on them
itll be like riding on a red scooter or some stuff

what kind of modifying are you going to be doing with your car?
what price range do are you looking into?
what springs are you going to be running?
all these things are some of the few questions you want to decide on, before we can recomment a set of shocks

Well in a nutshell...

The longetivity of shocks depends on the amount of drop plus the springrates. Comptech springs are designed to be used with stock shocks, and they're advertised as a ~1.25" drop. The lower and more stiff you go, the more inadequate your stock shocks will be in their dampening capabilities.

ya what he said, you can use your stock shocks for awhile especially if you dont have much of a drop, so remember the further down you go the quicker u'll have to get them, but you will eventually to have to buy new ones
