to say that the B18C is a better motor than the B17A is a dangerous proposition. I'd say that with the complete overhaul Honda made between the second and third generations, they felt they had to "up the ante" with the engine as well. So they designed the B18C, with the displacement increased by .1L and peak horsepower up by 10.
Yet a motor isn't necessarily better because it makes more horsepower. If that were true, the 1000 hp Cadillac V-16 would be the best engine in the world, bar none. Like DB7.0 said, the crank for the B17A was a real gem. It was a great engine...but perhaps doomed because of Honda's early-90s reworking of the Integra.

Is there any reason that this motor would be better to build up, such as hold a turbo better, or eaiser to build up, or stronger top or bottem end and so on.
