what services are available to get money back from someone you bought stuff from on the internet and then they don't send you what they said they would? i heard there are government agencies that help resolve stuff like that. i just don't know what they are called. here is my story on this other post:

anyway, hamburger1971 is a dishonest person that i am very unhappy with. he won't respond to any contact that i've tried to make with him. i hope nobody else bought anything from him and he ripped them off too. anyway, thanks for any help.

There is nothing that you really can do now. Paypal won't help you b/c it is past 30 days. They don't settle disputes for items not received as advertised and if it was less than 30 days then the only way to get your money back is to say you didn't receive the package. Even though there is a tracking number you need signature confirmation for items costing over $250. Paypal also has an insurance program that you can purchase just in case you do receive items that are not as advertised you can dispute it, but that is only if the seller allows that option. You can only purchase it once you are making the original payment and I doubt the seller had that option at the time of purchase. I honestly don't think there is anything you can do....
I got screwed online once and I went to all the websites and filled out all the forms about gettign ripped off and such. I did not hear back from any of them. So i think you are basically SOL or you gotta find someone who lives by him to get your money back

oh yeah... in case this creep changed his screen name, his name is
Jeff Halper
, and he's from philidelphia. so if you run into him, beware: he's not honest.

i once got screwed by an individual, he sent me a wheel and it wasn't what i told him i needed. i threatened to file a complaint with the internet fraud complaint center at www.ifccfbi.gov this is an actual fbi organization. he refunded all my money including the return shipping just based on the threat.
you could also try to recover the money from you credit card company if that's what you used at paypal.
good luck.
