California smog....
Are after market headers illegal or legal in the state of California? Can they pass a visual test and a smog machine test? (DCSPORT Headers) Can anyone answer from experience or knowledge.

It should have a plate welded onto the header. However beware, I know of many people who had the CARB legal DC header, and their car wouldn't pass smog. The smog attendant said he sees it happen with their headers all the time.

All you need is the CARB exemption order number. I believe DC stamps it right on the ID plate. Armed with that information, you should be fine. SMOG guys in general aren't as willing to help out if you make them go look it up in their book.
