Default New posters read here

Lately we have had some issues in the forum. Many people are registering and posting rude comments about very respectable members, and we will not tolerate it.

If you come into this forum to post, and see something you do not agree with, feel free to tell them, but refrain from the elementary name calling.

One more thing; this forum is for the asking of questions and posting of FACTS, not hearsay.

On behalf of the Honda-Acura.net family, thank you.

Before anyone draws any conclusions from this, I had nothing to do with it

This is from a longtime member who is obviously frustrated with the amount of bullsh*t being spewed here.

Look, no one knows it all. Its perfectly fine to know NOTHING. Everyone had to start somewhere, no big deal. We are all still learning no matter what the tag under our name says, theres always people on here who can teach anyone anything. NO one is perfect.

Lets just use this forum as a learning and discussion tool rather than a "my balls are bigger than yours, Im right youre an idiot" b*tchfest. Thats not what it was designed to be. A lot of the more educated and experienced members are hesitant to add their .02 due to everyone and their mothers sudden expertise on every subject under the sun.

If you havent done it, seen it, or broke it yourself, you arent sure. And thats fine, just make your point including "I heard that" or "Im not sure, but I think..." etc. Everyone makes mistakes, but blatant misinformation hurts everyone on here.

Good post dude

Great sticky. I tried doing this about 6 months ago but I guess it didn't fly back then.

nice post, couldn't agree more

however it should also be noted that some more "experienced(read registered earlier) members" also have a tendency to revert to elementary name calling. just wanted to point this fact out and ask that we all get along, we're all(well most anyways) here to be enthusiasts, not engage in verbal warfare.

this all sounds really good to me , and so many of you agree it's the way the forums should be - i agree. it seems to me - being on the other end of the flame usually - that it is a difficult task for alot of you though. i have been on here for only a month maybe and during that time i have had questions answered with WTF and the like. only shingo and sleepercivic have had the decentsy to read and reply with anything constructive. i'm not trying to win anybodys popularity contest - actually i THOUGHT we all had something in common.

reality bites

We should also take this time to remind them that the search function is their friend. Chances are the question has been asked before, and in most cases it's been asked a lot.

I think this is where a lot of the flames come from. We have covered a lot of issues and searching for yours is always the first thing to do. I have been here for a couple of years and use the search all the time, it really does become like a best friend here.

It gets annoying when the forum is filled with the same questions time and time again.
