Opening a B18c to check the VTEC....

Well I am here to say I have THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!
I have a B16a1 in my CRX, and I am having the same problem as you. One night I was driving and the VTEC just sorta "crapped out". HTe engine slightly sounds like it hit VTEC, but it feels really sluggish, and I know it is sluggish, because I had a stock LS with intake in a hatch beat me. I am goignt o try replacing the oil pump, and taking out the shim to give it more PSI, and then i am goignt o take out all the rocker arms and soak them in acid bath, then make sure they all move freely then put it back together. I know I need to replace my LMA's, but taht wouldn't cause this problem. So it has to be something with OIL, because that is what VTEC runs off of.
