Shaving Moulding and Emblems
Whats up yall I own a 95 white teg LS I just bought it in January and have absolutely fell in love with it... I was curious to know if you teg experts had any advice on shaving moulding and or emblems... How should I do it? or should I just take it to a shop to have it done.. If I gotta take it somewhere what kinda prices should I expect?? Ill post pics soon

the emblems are easy and you can take them off yourself, just slid something underneath it and yank it out
if you want to shave the moldings you should take it to a body shop and get the holes where the molding were welded. but if u just want to paint your moldings you could do that yourself or get a shop to do it for you

does the little 'acura' emblem on the back of the car have two little holes from the mounts for it? i'm not sure, but i think i saw an integra driving around with his emblems off and he had 2 little holes in his rear lid... that's the only reason i haven't done it yet. but i'm not 100% sure, so let me know cuz i'd like to take off the emblems also. thanks.
Here's some advice on the emblems. The spelled out Acura emblem has 2 holes behind it. The A emblem also has two holes in the back. Use a blow drier to heat up the emblems first and then use a raser blade scraper to softly scape and pull off the emblems. The glue is pretty tough to get up. You can have a shop fill the holes. I've been told the best way to have them do it is to weld the holes shut. Apparently bondo cracks over time and leaves you with a nasty look on your trunk.
