88 integra cuts out
i have a 88 integra just purchased and i have only put about 100 miles on it.
it cuts out around 4 k rpm. i have replaced the fuel pump fuel filter . fuel pressure reg. new distrib, cap , rotor , wires , plugs, new o 2 sensor, fresh oil change, air filter good, check engine light will come one but it is flashing the code for the intake heat sensor i dont think that would cause my problem. can anyboby help me out with ideas? oh last thing it was cutting out around 2k rpms but i advacned the timing all the way it can go and now it cuts out around 4-5k rpms, im stuck and out of ideas......nad
the car idles just fine, if not in gear it will rev to 7k rpms

The first thing I would do is check the valve timing. Make sure it is ok. If you are advancing the timing all the way to get it to run, you may be off on valve timing. Then, you may want to look at the distributor. Distributor failure is a common problem.
