Just curious how often you all wash your cars? Wax your cars? Polish your cars? What brand/products do you use for each?

 

Wash: once a week
Wax: every so often (I dunno, like once in a few months)
Polish: haven't done it yet. Maybe when I'm a baller and can afford baller car care shtuffs.

 

I thought you were to suppose to polish before you wax?

I use Meguiars stuff. I like it. It does the job...

 

That is what I thought also......according to both Mothers car care products and Meguiars car care products, polish then wax.

Generally I wash the car every week and wax and polish once a month (if time permits me to do so).

 

I used to wash 2x a month, wax 1x a month, and polish 1x a year. I don't have a proper way/machine to buffer the polish so I'm probably going to end up paying someone to do it next time around.

Since you asked.....

and to cause more shudders, I use dishwashing liquid (whatever's under the sink: currently Ajax).

And if I drop a sponge..... I pick it up and continue using it.

 

I wash about once a week and wax about every 2-3 weeks (whenever the finish stops beading).

I use S100 (p21s). It is supposedly one of the highest rated waxes in terms of shine according to guru reports. Zaino is up there too. I have used both and they are great.

 

I wash twice a month, and wax maybe once a month. I use meguiars. Their 3-step is amazing.

 

Actually there's nothing wrong in using dishwashing soap to clean your car... If you're removing all the old wax of the car to prep for polish/wax.
