I found a swap I want to buy. It's a usdm 1995 complete gsr swap. The only problem is my car is a 1997 ls. Can I use a obd2 ecu with a 1995 swap? I know a obd1 ecu will work just fine in my car but what happens when I need an emission test? Or do I just need to use a obd2 ecu to start out with? The reason I want the 1995 swap is because it's local (no shipping charges) and I know it runs good.
