Look into Amsoil. I know some WRX guys who swear by the 10w30 Amsoil Synthetic. Plus it's guaranteed and you don't have to change it out for 12 mos or 25k miles. The only thing you need to change is the oil filter at about 12k miles or 6 mos., if you use Amsoil filters (about $10, like Mobil 1 filters). For most other filters it's recommended to change it per the manufacturers recommnded intervals, ie 3-5k miles. Of course this will differ or shorten the intervals if you race the car.

FYI: I just researched Amsoil and am going to switch over in a week or so. Hence all this info crap for you. From what I've read, Amsoil doesn't break down like a Mobil 1 synthetic and others like it. Hence the need to change only the filter. Plus Amsoil was actually the first synth oil dating back to 1972. It's about a buck more than Mobil 1 but you save on the long run.

If you want to read more about it check out: www.syntheticwarehouse.com This is the guy that I got it from and he was cheaper than the Corporate site.

try castrol gtx.... a lot of turbo people swear by it including myself.. i originally used mobil 1 tri-synthetic.... but synthetic will cause a lot more leaks after you turbo trust me. change your oil every 2500 and you should have no problems
