Default Fuel pressure???

I was searching through the threads and couldnt find a decent answer. I have a 95 gsr and the idle fuel pressure is at 47psi and WOT 50 psi. Thats sounds a tad too high. Would should Idle and WOT be. I dont understand how it can be soo high with stock Fuel system.

are you serious? tons of people are telling me thats way to much fuel. How adjustable are fuel pressure regulators? I mean whats the range in psi that you can adjust.

i dont remember the numbers, but i looked the fuel pressure figres up in Alldata and you were right, those were high.

get a vacuum gauge and do this test: first, hook the gauge up to the manifold using one of the fittings on the manifold and see how much vacuum you pull at idle. then hook it up to the end of the vacuum line that hooks up to the fuel pressure regulator, and you should see the same vacuum, maybe just a tiny bit less. if you have little vacuum in that line, there is something plugging it, and you should find the restriction and remoive it. if you have normal vacuum in that line, your fuel pressure regulator is bad.

Im gonna check the hoses in a little while, but if the hoses are normal, would this work for now?

Do you know if adjustable FPR's can go lower than stock psi?

The spec is 39-46 psi at idle and 48-56 psi at WOT. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the 47 psi at idle reading.

As for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator the B&M piece is fine, just make sure you don't actually try to buy anything from Endyn. It's a good website but the "company" is little more than that Larry guy selling stuff from the garage at his house.
