Default RANDOM high flow cats

I have a quick question about the random high flow cats. i saw a picture of them on there website, and it looked like there were no flanges. Do u have to weld flangs on to the high flow cat. Is anyone here running a random?

please back back to me, thanks

Yeah you have to get the Flanges welded on. Thats why they are cheaper. My friend just got a carsound cat for like 220. Does anyone know where you can just buy the flanges?? I have access to a TIG welded so I could do them myself

I'd go with Carsound instead of Random. I've heard lots of stories about Randoms falling apart.

Randoms blow...Ive seen a ton of them crap out. The design isnt as free flowing as a Carsound either. A random tech cat should bolt right up, however, as long as you purchase it for your car.

Carsounds on the other hand are bought as blanks, which need flanges/02 bung(s) welded on depending on your setup. Or you can hit up SMSP or IPS, who sells them as bolt-on units.

Its worth the hassel. Carsounds flow almost as well as a test pipe and dont crap out on you like random ones.

The random cat I have was a direct fit with the flanges.

Check out the Hybrid Garage: http://app1.hybridgarage.com/store/h...c%20Converters

They sell Carsound cats with the flanges and o2 bungs for $119.99/shipped. Email or call them for the correct application. I just bought one myself.

Hopefully this pic of the cat I got works:

Just ordered a carsound cat on GroupBuyCenter.com without
flanges for $114 shipped. I plan on coupling that with a DC Sports Ceramic Header, and my stock pipe and muffler. I think
that is a deal, and the Carsound has a good rep. How much will the shop charge me to weld on the flange? I'll soon find out.
