Default Reinstalling old badges

I put this on the bottom of another thread, but I'll start a new one instead

If I wanted to put my stock badges back on (I still have them) until I can get the holes filled (shaved), what sort of adhesive could I use to put them back on?

I want to get rid of my red badges, eveyone has them and they are really starting to wear on me.

do your badges still have the pins on them that go into the 2 holes on the front and the back?

you can get any kind of double sided tape, i used a double sided tape used for carpet that is clear made by Duck and it is really strong. i did this on the front and my emblem is holding well. it is removable though if you ever want to take it off and this tape i used wont mess up the paint if you do decide to take it off. good luck.

I may do that yet. I actually used a silicon sealant for now. It peels right off and shouldn't damage paint. It's holding well so far, and you can't see it at all.

Thanks

the problem with the sealant you are using is that is air tight. if there is any water that got in those two holes, it cant get out because of the sealant. using the tape is better because it isn't completely air tight so if there is water, it can dry out. good choice with the oem badges though, it looks a lot better IMO.

Thats a good point.... never thought of that...

I will try the tape when I get a chance to go pick some up.
