maybe its your map sensor, try doing a search on that and see if your symptoms are the same as other peoples who have replaced theirs. just a thought.

Did you get your no-start condition sorted out? I was talking to a friend at dinner tonight and he was describing the same condition that happened to his '91. It turned out to be a component in the ignition and was fixed by the dealer. Contact a dealer and they will probably know what you are talking about.

My problem was that I had very low compression on cylinders 2 and 3. I had my mechanic work on it and my car seems to be running better... for now.

I bet your friend's component was probably the main relay -- this, I've already checked a few times and even did the DIY rework so I know it's working fine. Another article I read mentioned the distributor coil as a common fault in the '91 -- I've also had that replaced recently as well.

I think I have the same that you have described.

-low rpm, as if it is going to stall
-cannot start occasionally, have to give it gas right after ignition
-checked the battery, starter, alternator, not the problem
-replaced spark plug wires, rotor, didn't fix the problem

The only difference is that mine is a 1988 Integra.
So is it the starter or the ignition or the main relay?
Is the starter and the ignition the same thing?
In your case it is the low compression, what exactly does that mean?

Thanks
