Revving past 8k.......
Everyone is always talking about putting in titanium valves springs and retainers so that they can rev up to like 9 or 10k, but what is the point of revving that high, if the gs-r still makes max power at 7600 ?

Also, titanium valve springs should be checked on every 25K miles or so, twice a year otherwise. They actually wear down at a rapid rate, because they're made for racing. Just so you know.

No, it's got something to do with the hardness of the Ti as opposed to other engine components. There's actually a coating that can be done to strengthen them. I think it's $60 for all of them. If you drop me a PM and remind me, I can find the post at HT.

It's leaps and bounds ahead in terms of performance, but comfort the GSR has me. Go to www.itr1220.com and go to his 'library
section. He has all these articles about the ITR, one is 'Showdown at 8000 rpm'.
it compares Celica GT-S, the GSR, the ITR & the Prelude SH. Good read, I'd suggest it
Oh, if you go to the Mt. Tom meet April 19th, you can drive it if you'd like.
